Time flies. That’s what this Latin phrase means, and the winged hourglass captures it perfectly. We all know it’s true, but somehow we keep living like we have endless amounts of time to get around to the things that actually matter. We’ll call that friend tomorrow. We’ll take that trip next year. We’ll have that conversation when things calm down.
I chose this design because it’s a simple reminder that time doesn’t wait for us to get our act together. The hourglass with wings is both beautiful and sobering – time literally has wings, and it’s flying whether we’re paying attention or not. We can’t slow it down or store it up for later. All we can do is decide what we’re going to do with the time we have right now.
