Have you ever had an idea that just wouldn’t leave you alone? A niggling idea that sparks something in you- first as a whisper, then a murmur, then finally a callling so persistent that the spark becomes an inferno that won’t be ignored. That’s how Fortis Fidei came to be.
One moment I was thinking about my faith, my values, and how I wanted to express them in the world- and then, before I knew it (or really had time to think it through 😂), those thoughts became things. First, I dipped my toe in the water- pairing designs and phrases. Then, I opened an Etsy store with a few designs. Finally, I went all in with both feet.
Coffee mugs with messages that matter.
T-shirts that speak truth.
Hoodies with humor to make us smile and lift our spirits.
Tote bags that carry groceries AND ideas worth sharing.
I titled this blog “From Thoughts to Things” because it reflects the journey we make when we take what matters most to us- our faith, our values and convictions, even our passions- and find ways to make them visible and tangible in everyday life.
You know that feeling when you see or hear something that captures what you’ve been thinking but couldn’t quite put into words? It’s that moment when things ‘click’ into place, and you think, “Yes- that!”
That’s what I’m hoping these products (and posts) will do for you- help you find firmer footing in sharing what you believe.
So what should you expect? well, in this space, I’ll be sharing the stories behind different designs and what inspired them. But be warned- my ADD brain can pull something from anything- whether a conversation, a moment in time, or a scripture, a scene from a TV show or more– and I hyperfocus on it. Trtying to understand the nuances, parse theh details, and ponder every possible reason for why people do the things they do.
Here’s where I’ll share my gift for overthinking and all the places it takes me. Â Some things will be rooted in life lessons, but there will be an equal amount of random thoughts, including the doubts and questions I wrestle with regularly. I mean, let’s be honest- the journey from thoughts to things is seldom a straight line.
It’s often more like walking a labyrinth, with twists and turns that will, eventually, lead you where you need to go. (See how I worked my love of labyrinths into this? 😄)
I’ll close this post by saying this- I believe we all want the same things at heart – lives filled with love, joy, health, and happiness. We might have different perspectives on how to get there, but at our core, we’re more alike than different. My hope is that the products I create and the stories I share will help us find that common ground, even as we celebrate our uniquely individual expressions of faith and personality.
So welcome to ‘From Thoughts to Things’ – where ideas become tangible, our values becomes visible, and we all get to be a little more seen and heard in this beautiful, messy world of ours.

I’d love to hear from you! What thoughts are you hoping to turn into things in your own life? Â More importantly:
