Low Maintenance, High Expectations: The Perfect Combination

I’ve never understood why “low maintenance” gets such a bad rap. People say it like it’s settling for less, like you’re not trying hard enough. But here’s what I think – being low maintenance doesn’t mean you don’t care about quality. It means you know what matters and you don’t waste time on what doesn’t. And having high expectations? That just means you believe you deserve good things.

This phrase captures something I’ve learned over the years. I don’t need complicated processes or high-drama situations to feel valued. I don’t need constant reassurance or elaborate gestures to know where I stand. But I do expect honesty, reliability, and respect. I expect people to mean what they say and do what they promise. I expect quality over quantity, substance over flash

Low maintenance, high expectations isn’t about being difficult – it’s about being clear. It’s knowing your worth without needing to prove it constantly. It’s appreciating simplicity while refusing to accept mediocrity. And frankly, it’s a pretty great way to live.
